Fun Movie News. #034:
Jeff Wells's recent men-at-sea kick included his take on the script for Wes Anderson's upcoming film, The Life Acquatic.
Note for Esselle: Don't click the above link. It reveals stuff that's like in the script and will probably end up on the screen. I'll give you this little non-spoiler:
"I can't wait to see how Anderson stages his action scenes. Will he decide to shoot them with a static camera, trying to stay with his usual shooting style and play against the energy...or will he try a hand-held, fast-cut approach?
You can't tell with scripts, but on the page THE LIFE AQUATIC struck me as the funniest thing Anderson's ever written."

Bruises on the fruit.
A couple of years ago, Durst was telling Courtney that Puddle of Mudd was his "fake Nirvana band".
Go here ["Away From Me" video] to hear/see it in full bloom! Wes Scantlin's Kurt-look is obvious, but there's also some "Come As You Are"-ish effects, and some Corbijn-y black-and-white imagery. Well done, Fred!
